With the recent outbreak of antibiotic resistant staph infections in north Idaho and eastern Washington schools, the North Central District Health Department has started an informational campaign to educate the public about the infection and ways to prevent its spread.  Community Health Director Sonja Schriever says while the general public may not be familiar with the infection, its been well documented in the medical field.

Like other diseases and infections, the first step in prevention is the practice of good personal hygiene.
