TurkeysFirst time hunters interested in pursuing turkeys in Idaho this spring still have a few chances to get signed up for upcoming mandatory hunter education courses in Lewiston. Mike Demick with the Idaho Department of Game says there are still a few seats available for classes that begin later this month.

Early registration is encouraged as seats are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Those born after January 1, 1975 are required to complete a hunter education course in order to hunt in Idaho. Prospective students must provide an address, phone number, date of birth and a social security number prior to classes. There is also an $8 fee assessed per student.
