The Idaho State Board of Education has set a June deadline to appoint an interim president for the University of Idaho.

Trustees plan to name an interim president by June 30, the same day current president Tim White is scheduled to resign to become chancellor of the University of California-Riverside.

Education Board Chairman Milford Terrell met with university officials Tuesday on the Moscow campus to discuss the scope of a national search for a new president.

North Idaho board members Paul Agidius and Sue Thilo will chair the search committee.
