More than 100 economic, labor and industry professionals will convene in Lewiston, Idaho this month to develop a strategy for enhancing north central Idaho’s labor pool and energizing the region’s economy. Sponsored by the Clearwater Economic Development Association and the Idaho Department of Labor, the 2008 North Central Idaho Work Force Summit is set for Tuesday, June 24 at the Williams Conference Center on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.

CEDA Executive Director Christine Frei says the summit will focus on ways to support existing businesses and new companies in their efforts to offer high-skilled employees good wages with benefits.

The summit will run from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. PDT and pre-registration is preferred in order to assure everyone receives lunch. Registration is available on-line at the Idaho Department of Labor web site https://labor.idaho.gov/applications/idahoevents/.
