No charges were filed after a 4-month-old Lewiston boy was left unattended in a car in the Costco parking lot on Monday. The boy was uninjured. Clarkston Police say a female relative who was baby-sitting the infant told police she forgot about the child when she went into the store.
The child was found by a passerby. A Clarkston reserve officer got the baby out of the unlocked vehicle and took him inside the store.
Emergency personnel responded and the infant was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for evaluation after being left in the vehicle for about 14 minutes. He was released to his parents at the hospital.
The case was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
