A supervisor with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game has been demoted a month after publicly saying a $500 million wind farm project in southern Idaho will harm wildlife.
Magic Valley regional supervisor David Parrish has been transferred to Boise as the fisheries program coordinator.
Parrish wrote a July 6 letter to The Times-News about the wind farm. Two state legislators discussed the letter and agreed it violated Governor Butch Otter’s policy on state officials speaking out without first getting an OK.
IDFG Director Virgil Moore confirms that the letter contributed to Parrish’s demotion. (AP)
