Idaho 1st District Rep. Bill Sali and Democratic challenger Walt Minnick have agreed to attend an Oct. 16 debate in Lewiston.

It will be the second statewide campaign debate in the LC Valley, following the Oct. 8 event between U.S. Senate candidates Republican Lt. Gov. Jim Risch and Democrat Larry LaRocco. Both debates will run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Community Center - they will be open to the public and televised live.

Risch and LaRocco have recently agreed to a fourth debate, which will be held Oct. 7 in Boise – other debates are penciled in for Oct. 21 in Nampa, and Oct. 28 in Meridian.
