An Oct. 22 sentencing date has been set for a Lewiston man convicted of killing a 23-month-old boy.

Late last month a Nez Perce County jury found Stacey Grove, 29, guilty of first-degree murder in the July 2006 death of Kyler Martin. A grand jury indicted Grove after evidence suggested Martin died of abdominal bleeding, muscular hemorrhaging and a brain injury after being struck in the stomach, head, back and legs.

Grove faces the possibility of life in prison.
