Visiting north central Idaho’s national forests is always a popular Labor Day weekend activity.

LeAnn Wilson with the Clearwater National Forest says outdoor enthusiasts and recreationists will have plenty of options this year as virtually all campgrounds and picnic areas are open and accessible.

Unlike many recent Labor Day holidays, this year there are no campfire restrictions due to fire danger.

Wilson says all are welcome to the forest
