The local high school football season gets underway this weekend for a handful of teams. In the Whitepine League – Lapwai travels to Nezperce to face Lewis County Friday afternoon at 3pm and Potlatch will host Deary at 7pm.

Salmon River will open Long Pin Conference play against Council at 7pm Mountain time.
Orofino will get its first taste of class 3-A competition with a home game against McCall-Donnelly – kick off is scheduled for 7pm with live coverage on AM 1300 KLER.

Grangeville heads north to open the season at St. Maries – game time is set for 7pm with live coverage on AM 1230 KORT.

Moscow will host Kellogg at 7pm and Lewiston opens its season on the road at Pendleton with kick off set for 7pm.
