The Lewis-Clark State cross country teams will open the 2008 campaign this weekend in Walla Walla, Washington.  Thirty athletes are listed on the combined rosters, however there are just three seniors between the squads.

While the lack of upperclassmen is a little unsettling, Warrior head coach Mike Collins says what the teams may lack in experience, they more than make up for in talent.

Both teams have garnered considerably national attention in the NAIA National Polls already as the men’s team is ranked 12th and the women’s team is tied for 14th. The Warriors open the season Saturday at the Whitman Invitational.

LC won’t run at home until October 25th, and will be hosting the Frontier Conference Championship races in Lewiston November 8.
