The Warrior Athletic Association in conjunction with Lewis-Clark State College are preparing for the 2nd Annual WAA High School Awards Dinner next month in the LCSC Activity Center. Student athletes, coaches and volunteers from 22 local high schools have been nominated in five different categories and will be honored for their efforts and accomplishments both on the field and in the gym.

LCSC Athletic Director Gary Picone says the program will be operated virtually the same as a year ago with the exception of the addition of an additional category.

Last year’s inaugural event drew about 250 people from the surrounding communities and organizers believe the event will continue to grow.

Finalists will be announced in early October. The awards dinner will be held October 15th beginning with a social hour at 6pm with the event scheduled to start at 7pm. Tickets are $25 per person and are available through the LCSC ticket office on-line at jlking@lcsc.edu or by calling (208) 792-2471. All nominees receive complimentary tickets to the event.
