Lewiston police are investigating why a 5-month-old child was listed in critical condition Wednesday with unspecified injuries.
According to LPD, the boy was taken to Valley Medical Center in Lewiston by his mother at about 7:15pm Monday and was later transferred to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Initial police reports indicated the child was vomiting and his eyes were rolled back. The child was later airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Authorities were notified of the injuries by emergency room employees at St. Joe’s. The severity of the injuries, combined with the child’s age led to police notification.
