An official with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation says some parks may close because of budget cuts caused by the slumping economy.
Jennifer Wernex, communications manager for the agency, says it’s too early to know which parks may be closed and some other state parks could face reduced hours and reduced maintenance.
Governor Butch Otter has proposed trimming the parks and recreation budget by about $9 million due to the economic crisis. (AP)
