Warriors travel to Salt Lake to meet 1st place Westminster

lcsc_logo1.jpgThe Lewis-Clark State basketball teams hit the mid-way point of the Frontier Conference schedule this weekend with games on the road against first place Westminster College in Utah. The 21st ranked Warrior women are 14-5 and stand two games behind the first place Griffins in the league standings.

LC Head Coach Brian Orr says the team is approaching this weekend’s game with a “do or die” attitude.

Meanwhile, the Warrior men face their stiffest test of the season in facing the nation’s 4th ranked team. Westminster is 19-2 and was the #1 ranked team in the country before falling at Rocky Mountain last weekend. LC is 8-8 overall, and at 2-4 in league play, is currently resting in 6th place among the conference’s eight teams.

Warrior Head Coach Tim Walker says if the team is to have a chance this weekend they’ll have to find a way to slow the Griffins down and limit their offensive opportunities.
