Washington State University continues to report strong enrollment growth, with the school’s spring semester enrollment up 4.7 percent over spring 2008 numbers.
Overall, spring semester enrollment is at 23,810 students university-wide, up from 22,741 last spring.
Headcount at the Pullman campus is at 18,136, an increase of 3.7 percent, with the number of full-time equivalent students up 2.8 percent.
WAZZU’s statewide campuses showed growth across the board, with Tri-Cities up 10.6 percent; Vancouver, 8.8 percent; and Spokane, 4.6 percent.
WSU officials say the university is continuing to accept applications for the fall for all of its campuses and has no plans to cap enrollment, despite continued concerns about the budget picture for the upcoming fiscal year.
