Idaho taxpayers can get filing extension, request payment plan

idaho-tax-commissionIdaho taxpayers who can’t file their 2008 state income taxes by April 15 may be eligible to get an automatic, six-month extension without filing a form.

The Idaho Tax Commission’s Renee Eymann says to qualify, taxpayers need to pay either an estimated 80 percent of the tax they owe for 2008, or 100 percent of what was paid for state income taxes the year before by Wednesday.
