Idaho nonresident hunting and fishing license fees are going up, beginning Friday.
State lawmakers approved a scaled-down version of the state Fish and Game Department’s request to increase the fees, electing to raise nonresident fees, and leaving resident fees as is.
Under the new fee structure, a nonresident hunting license will cost about $155, up from $141, while a nonresident season-long fishing license will cost$ 98, an increase of $16. The price of a nonresident elk tag jumps from $372 to $417, and a deer tag will be $302, compared to $258.
The fee changes are expected to raise an estimated $2.5 million for Fish and Game.
