Idaho Meth Project in line for $1 million from feds

idaho_meth_projectU.S. Representative Mike Simpson says an appropriations bill headed to the floor of the U.S. House includes $1 million for an Idaho campaign to reduce the prevalence of first-time methamphetamine use.
The Idaho Republican says he expects lawmakers to approve the bill next week.
The Idaho Meth Project, modeled after the Montana Meth Project, relies on donations and discourages first-time methamphetamine use through television, radio, print and billboard ads targeting 12- to 17-year-olds.
The campaign was launched last year and depicts the unsavory effects of the drug in graphic detail. (AP)
