Bob Kustra
Kustra, 66, says he no interest in moving to a different school even though other universities have tried to lure him away.
The State Board of Education has offered Kustra a contract that pushes his salary to $336,410, more than double what he was paid when he was hired in 2003.
Board President Milford Terrell says university presidents are like top athletic coaches and have become a commodity.
Kustra has pushed for Boise State to become a regional research university.
Enrollment at Boise State last fall was 19,540 students, the most in the state and a 25 percent increase over the last 10 years. (AP)
