The announcement is part of a national crackdown against mortgage assistance scams. Federal and state agencies were making similar announcements across the country on Wednesday.
McKenna also announced three enforcement agreements with Washington organizations. And he says he is continuing to investigate other possible scams.
The companies being sued for their practices in the state of Washington are Mason Capital Group of Tarzana, Calif., and G. Services Group of Santa Ana, Calif., doing business as Guardian Services.
Mason Capitol Group is also being sued by the state of Illinois. (AP)
