The Lewiston Fire Department responded to a rail car fire Friday at the rail yard west of Goodman Oil Company in north Lewiston.
Division Chief Steve Minnis says the fire was limited to the rail car and crews were successful in keeping the blaze contained before putting it out.

Fire investigators are looking into the fire, but officials believe a welding project on the rail car itself was the likely cause.

Damage was limited to the rail car and no injuries were reported in the incident.
