Idaho Gov. Butch Otter
Idaho Gov. Butch Otter continues to tout his plan to grow the state’s economy by enlisting businesses large and small in a campaign to add value and create jobs that become careers.
Dubbed Project 60, the governor says it’s his goal to raise the value of Idaho’s economy from the current $51.5 billion to $60 billion.

Earlier this month, Otter launched the Project 60 Web site to outline the governor’s plan for positioning Idaho for recovery and prosperity by expanding existing industries, recruiting new businesses, and attracting more foreign investment and trade.
The launching of the website comes on the heels of a business summit Otter hosted in Boise at the end of August.

The Project 60 website also encourages visitors to become “Project 60 Partners” by engaging with the governor and Idaho Department of Commerce in economic development ideas, identifying obstacles to growth, sharing good news about business successes in Idaho, and providing leads about customers, vendors and other business from out of state that might want to relocate to Idaho.
