Idahoans who qualified for an automatic extension of time to file state income tax returns must send their return and full payment by October 15th. Renee Eymann with the state tax commission says there are a variety of ways to file returns prior to the deadline.

Those who received extensions last spring need to file before the deadline in order to avoid penalties, including interest on taxes owed.
