Smith withdraws from Lewiston city council race

Another cadidate has quit the race for a seat on the Lewiston City Council.
Idaho State Police Trooper Steven Smith has withdrawn due to his wife’s health issues and legal affairs associated with her loss of employment.
Smith, who hasn’t ruled out a future council run, asked voters to supprt three of the six remaining candidates – incumbent Dennis Ohrtman, former councilor Kevin Poole and newcomer Brad Cannon.
Other city council candidates for the November 3rd election are Mayor Doug Havens, councilor Jim Kluss, City Manager Jay Krauss, Thyra Stevenson, John Mock ande Zach Hasenoehrl.
