The Lewiston father accused of abducting his toddler son will soon face felony charges in Nez Perce County.
Charles Remacle, 39, has waived extradition in Umatilla County, Oregon, prompting his return to Idaho on a felony charge of custodial interference.
Lewiston police allege Charles Remacle took 2-year-old Colin Remacle from a Lewiston day care October 1. The case prompted a nationwide search for the pair, who were on the run for nearly a week.
Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Remacle at the Wildhorse Casino and Resort last week near Pendleton, Oregon. Colin Remacle was later released to his mother uninjured and healthy following the incident.
According to Umatilla County Jail officials, Remacle waived extradition and was to be returned to Lewiston. The Nez Perce County sheriff’s office say Remacle should be in local custody within a week.
It’s unknown when Remacle will make his initial appearance in court.
