Idaho hunters and anglers reminded to stop at all check stations

idfg_color.jpgThe Idaho Department of Fish and Game is reminding all hunters and anglers that they must stop at all check stations whether they are successful or not.  Mike Demick with the department’s Clearwater office says failing to stop at a posted check station is breaking the law and can result in a citation being issued.

Aside from the collection of critical information, check stations provide an opportunity for exchange between the public and the department, including information on illegal activites, observations on habitat or road conditions, or suggestions for changes in management.

The public is also encouraged to ask questions of conservation officers or biologists about fish and game management policies and regulations.  For more information contact the IDFG Clearwater Office in Lewiston at (208) 799-5010.
