The trial of a Lewiston man accused of strangling his wife earlier this year has been postponed.

A trial was scheduled for Nov. 12 for a jury to decide if Gary Mallory, 39, murdered Charlene Mabie, 48, at their home last February. Officials classified Mabie’s death as a homicide by asphyxiation and/or strangulation.

Mallory has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and felony domestic battery charges.

The trial was postponed on Friday and no new date has been set.  A scheduling conference is set for Nov. 9.

Mallory remains in the Nez Perce County Jail.
