The post season begins for several area prep football teams while others will put the pads and helmets away for the year.
In the Whitepine League: Defending state champion and top-ranked Prairie looks to carry momentum into the playoffs as the Pirates host Kendrick in Cottonwood; Genesee takes its slim posts season hopes to Lapwai; Potlatch can secure a playoff spot with a win at home against Troy; Timberline has one last chance at a victory at home against Deary; and Clearwater Valley travels to Nezperce finish out the year against Lewis County.
The post-season is here for both Central Idaho League teams: Grangeville pushes for an upset at Nampa Christian – kick-off is scheduled for 5pm PDT with live radio coverage on AM 1230 KORT. Meanwhile, league champion Kamiah will host Melba.
The post-season begins for Orofino as the Maniacs are home against Priest River – a team they beat 40-21 two weeks ago up north. Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm PDT with live radio coverage on AM 1300 KLER.
On the Palouse: Deer Park visits Pullman and top-ranked and undefeated Colfax is home with Tekoa-Oakesdale-Roslalia.
In the LC Valley: Asotin will try to remain unbeaten as the Panthers host DeSales; Clarkston travels to Cheney; and Lewiston fights to keep its season alive as the Bengals host league-leading Lake City.
