The Lewis-Clark State basketball teams made their home debuts a success with a sweep over Northwest Christian University Monday night at the LC Activity Center.

In the women’s game, senior guard Nikki DePeel scored a game-high 22 points, including an 11 for 12 performance at the free throw line as the 16th ranked Warriors rolled past the Beacons 87-48.
Sophomore post Alyssa Fierro added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds and junior point guard Kenna Reiter added 12 points.
Defensively, LC forced 17 turnovers and held the Eugene school to 39-percent shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, the Warrior men cruised past the Beacons 81-56 behind newcomer Markus Monroe’s 27 points.

The junior from Monrovia, California hit on 7 of 17 shots from the field and was 11 for 13 at the foul line while senior guard Daniel Williams scored a career-high 15 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
All told, the Warriors shot 49 percent from the floor and made 21 of 25 free throw attempts. Defensively, LC forced 21 turnovers and held Northwest to just 35 percent shooting from the floor.
Both LC teams hit the road this week.
The Warrior women travel to southern California to face 10th ranked Azusa Pacific Thursday and California Baptist Friday before traveling to Boise to face BSU in an exhibition contest Sunday.
The LC men face stiff exhibition tests against NCAA Division I teams at the University of Montana Friday and at Washington State next Monday November 9th.
