Authorities say a 3-year-old girl died Monday afternoon in a mobile home fire near Weippe on Lombard Road.
According to the Clearwater County sheriff’s office, another 1-year-old child and a woman, thought to be the grandmother of the children, were taken to Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification of family members, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
