Crapo backs unemployment benefits extension

us_capitolIdaho Senator Mike Crapo jopined his colleagues on Wednesday in unanimoulsy passing legislation which provides as much as 14 weeks of additional benefits to out-of-work Americans, including those in Idaho.

The unemployment benefits extension legislation passed 98-0.

Crapo strongly supports the bill, which authorizes up to 14 additional weeks for most if not every state and adds six weeks to states with unemployment rates higher than 8.5 percent.

Crapo says the process of getting the legislation through the Senate had been bogged down by the addition of a couple of amendments.
