A new Clerk of the Court has been named for the federal courts in Idaho.
Elizabeth Smith will start her duties as clerk of the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho by the start of next year.
The clerk of the court is responsible for leading and directing the administrative and operational areas of the federal district and bankruptcy court.
Smith currently serves as the deputy court administrator for the federal Eastern District of Michigan. (AP)
