The unclaimed cremated remains of 13 military veterans have been interred at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
The remains included two service members from World War I, eight from World War II, one from the Vietnam War and two from unknown wars.
The remains were located by the Missing in America project that searches for the unclaimed remains of veterans. The project tries to find, identify and verify the cremated remains of any veteran stored away in a funeral home, state hospital or crematorium.
Twelve of the remains interred Friday came from a funeral home in Kellogg, and the remains of one had been kept for years under a bed. (AP)
