Woman arrested, LPD searches for man in robbery

Authorities are looking for man who conspired with his girlfriend to steal over $5,000 from a Clarkston convenience store.

According to the Lewiston Police Department, William Williams is wanted on a warrant for grand theft and conspiracy to filing a false police report.

Police say his girlfriend, Trisha Reynolds, 31, an employee at Zip Trip, contacted the LPD just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, claiming she was robbed of a $5,300 deposit in the parking lot of Wells Fargo bank in the 800 block of Main Street.

Investigators discovered that Reynolds and Williams had conspired to steal the deposit.  $1,200 was found with Reynolds, who told police Williams had the rest of the money.

Reynolds faces charges of grand theft, filing a false report, and harboring a fugitive, as Williams was wanted for absconding from his probation.

Police contacted Williams by telephone, but he hang up and is believed to have fled.  He’s described as 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, with red hair, blue eyes, and a goatee.
