The American Automobile Association is predicting a slight increase in the number of travelers over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Dave Carlson with the Idaho Chapter of AAA says improved consumer confidence and general optimism toward the economy has more Americans planning trips.

Just over thirty-three million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more from home this year compared to 32.5 million a year ago.
Only air travel is expected to be down over the holiday with 2.3 million people flying, down 6.7 percent from 2008.
