The J.A. And Kathryn Albertson Foundation is launching a 20 million dollar initiative to get more Idaho students to attend college.

The “Go On” initiative includes 11 million dollars in targeted scholarships; a pledge of 6 million dollars to the Idaho Education Network to increase educational opportunities statewide; and a commitment of 3 million dollars for an awareness campaign about post-secondary opportunities and a support and guidance program that helps turn college aspirations into action-oriented goals.

Locally, Lewis-Clark State College was among Idaho’s higher education institutions to be awarded one million dollars from the foundation.

LCSC President Dene Thomas says the gift is a welcome addition as the school executes its mission to provide a quality, affordable education to regional and statewide students.
