There are no changes in the results from Washington’s election night as final numbers for the 9th Legislative District race and statewide ballot issues have been certified at the county level.
In the 9th District race, Susan Fagan defeated Pat Hailey 55 percent to 45 percent. Fagan won in Asotin, Garfield, Spokane and Whitman counties, while Hailey prevailed in Adams and Franklin counties.
Initiative 1033, which would have capped the rate of growth in general fund revenue for municipalities, counties and the state, was defeated by a margin of 58 percent to 42 percent.
Referendum 71, which provides additional rights for domestic partners, was approved 53 percent to 47 percent.
Voter turnout ranged from 48 percent in Franklin County to 61 percent in Garfield County, with Asotin County at 56 percent and Whitman County at 55 percent – statewide turnout was 51 percent.
The county results now go to Secretary of State Sam Reed, who has until Dec. 3 to certify the final statewide tally.
