The director of the Asotin County Aquatic Center has resigned.
Susan Beaurain, who has worked at the aquatic center for four years, announced on Monday that she will leave her job at the end of the month.
County officials say Beaurain is stepping down to move closer to family.
Beaurain has been credited by Asotin County commissioners for improving attendance and programs at the center this year. However, the Clarkston City Council’s decision to cut its subsidy to the aquatic center by $80,000 is expected to lead to an increase in user rates and a possible reduction in operating hours.
