A single-car accident off US Highway 95 north of the Lewiston Hill has left one person dead and another injured.
According to the Idaho State Police, Lavonda Smith, 50, of Lewiston was traveling north on Highway 95 this morning at just after 5 a.m. in a 2002 Ford Escape.
Smith turned into the US Highway 195 Exit and lost control. The vehicle rolled, and a passenger, Amber Alexander, 35, was ejected. Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene.
Smith was taken to St Joseph Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
