The Idaho Department of Education says school districts have until Jan. 12 to sign onto the state’s application for $75 million or more in competitive federal grant money.
The agency has posted the 8-page agreement on its Web site for school districts that want to participate in the federal Department of Education’s ‘Race to the Top’ program. Idaho’s grant application is due Jan. 19.
The department has said the program will be the only way to boost funding for education in the next two to three years. (AP)
