UofI sees uptick in spring enrollment

The University of Idaho is reporting a 3 percent increase in Spring enrollment compared to last year.

According to the university’s 10th day report, the school is reporting a statewide enrollment total of 11,512.

The number of students on the main Moscow campus is 10,283 – up 2 percent while the school’s satellite campuses around the state all reported double-digit increases.

Spring enrollment at Boise and Twin Falls is 436 – up 12 percent; the Coeur d’Alene campus saw the largest increase with 460 students enrolled – up 16 percent. And the Idaho Falls campus reported 333 students – an increase of 10 percent over last spring.

93 percent of freshman retunred for spring semester – 3 percent more than last spring. In addition to freshman retention, the U of I saw an increase in transfer students with 277 new transfers – 81 more than a year ago – a 41 percent increase.
