Lewis-Clark State College professor and track and cross-country coach Mike Collins has applied for appointment to the Lewiston City Council.
Colins, a 13-year Lewiston resident brings to five the number of those applying to fill the seat of John Currin, who resigned last month.
Joining Collins so far are retired attorney John Church, and former city councilors Barbara Davis, Doug Havens and Jim Kluss. Davis, a two-term councilor, didn’t seek re-election four years ago, while Havens and Kluss were voted out in November’s election.
Residents interested in the two-year appointment have until Feb. 16 to hand in an application at city hall.
