Local Washington voters approved several school levies and a library levy during Tuesday’s special election.
The Asotin-Anatone School District levy was approved with 71 percent of the vote. The supplemental levy for Clarkston School District passed with 64 percent, while the Colton School District levy was passing with a 74 percent approval rating.
63 percent of those who cast ballots approved a levy for the Asotin County Library.
Voter turnout in Asotin County was at 49 percent on Tuesday night with 5,825 votes counted so far.
A school bond in Pomeroy was narrowly passing with 60 percent approval. The close margin leaves the fate of the $4.49 million bond for the renovation of the junior-senior high school up in the air. More votes will be counted later in the week, and final results will be certified on Feb. 24.
