The Spokesman Review reports that Bill Moos has accepted an offer to become Washington State University’s new athletic director.
WSU is expected to schedule a press conference in Pullman for Wednesday.
Moos was a first-team All-Pac-8 offensive lineman at WAZZU in 1972 and later was an assistant athletic director at the school. He became AD at Montana, and in 1994, was a candidate at WSU, but lost out to Rick Dickson and went on to the Oregon job in 1995, where he served 12 years.
Former WSU athletic director Jim Sterk left the Palouse to take the AD job at San Diego State.
Terms of the Moos’ deal have not been released, though the newspaper reports Moos was offered more than Sterk’s $300,000 in base salary, deferred compensation and other income. (Spokesman Review)
