Health departments in Idaho and Utah will use a $10 million federal grant to look for ways to improve health care for children.
The money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is meant to improve services for children enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
The money will be given out over five years. Health officials in both states will evaluate the programs’ performances and analyze different types of technologies, including electronic health records.
The grant is part of $100 million in grants for 10 states awarded by the Health and Human Services Department. (AP)
