An Idaho lawmaker wants to protect people who run livestock shows from lawsuits.
Rogerson Republican Senator Bert Brackett says people in charge of fairs or 4-H events shouldn’t be held responsible if participants are injured or killed.
The Senate Agricultural Affairs Committee approved the bill Thursday. The full Senate will now consider it.
The measure is similar to a law that already protects people who run horse shows. It addresses contests for other animals, including cattle, pigs and llamas. (AP)
