The Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball team plays Westminster Tuesday night in the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship game.
Tip-off in Salt Lake City is 6 p.m. PST with live coverage on Talk Radio 950 KOZE AM and online at koze-sports.com.
LCSC sophomores Jasmine Stohr and Alyssa Fierro were selected to the all-Frontier Conference first team for women’s basketball, while junior Kenna Reiter and sophomore Kirsi Voshell were second team selections.
Stohr, a 6-foot guard and All-America finalist, led the Warriors with 15 points per game, which ranks second in the conference. It’s the second straight year Stohr has earned first-team honors. Last season, she also was chosen the conference’s Freshman of the Year.
Fierro, a 6-2 post, was second on the team in scoring at 10.6 points per game and also was second in rebounding at 7.2 per game. She also had 48 blocked shots on the season, which helped LCSC set a single-season team record for blocked shots.
Regular-season conference champion Westminster had three players named to the first team. Westminster senior McKenzie Jessop was selected as both the Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Montana Tech’s Taesha Higbee was the Newcomer of the Year, while Westminster’s Nicole Yazzie was the Freshman of the Year.
Westminster coach J.D. Gustin was selected Coach of the Year.
