Idaho Senate votes for loosening defibrillator liability

The Idaho Senate voted on Monday to protect businesses, churches, and people from lawsuits due to using and installing automatic external defibrillators.

The legal change, passed on a 32-3 vote, would protect simple negligence related to AEDs and still penalize gross negligence. That liability protection is similar to other Good Samaritan laws.

The measure now heads to the House.  (IdahoReporter.com)
