Easter holiday travelers will find Idaho gas prices some 16 cents higher than the national average, and sixth highest in the U.S.
The American Automobile Association’s Fuel Gauge report show’s Idaho’s average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.97 a gallon, up 24 cents in the past month. AAA Idaho’s Dave Carlson says that compares to the national average of $2.81, which has climbed just 10 cents during the same time period.

Crude oil prices closed this week at just over $85 a gallon, a price not seen since October 2008.

Average gasoline prices range from a low of $2.62 in Missouri and New Jersey, to a high of $3.48 in Alaska and Hawaii. Washington’s average price is $3.01 a gallon; Oregon, $2.89; Montana, $2.88; and Utah, $2.98.
